Meet the Doctors
Dr. Clayton Skrzypczak
Dr. Clayton Skrzypczak has helped hundreds of patients improve their lifestyle by improving their vision and educating them about their health. His expertise in the refractive nature of the eye and the impacts of nutrition and health on the visual system and the body has made a difference in many lives. He has practiced optometry in northern Michigan since graduating from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University in 2001.
As a native of northern Michigan, Dr. Skrzypczak feels a special connection with the surrounding communities and people in the area. He knows what it’s like to hike in the woods and trails, float the lakes and streams and climb the dunes. With all the beauty northern Michigan has to offer, it’s Dr. Skrzypczak mission to improve the vision and health of his patients so they, too, can enjoy the beauty of our area.
Ryan J. Chrencik, O.D.
Dr. Ryan Chrencik was raised by his parents, Curt and Patricia, and grew up in Gaylord, Michigan alongside his twin sister, Carley, and younger brother, Joey. He graduated from Gaylord High School in 2013.
Later that year, he attended Ferris State University in the Honors program and received his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-Optometry. He earned his doctorate from Midwestern University- Chicago College of Optometry in 2022.
Dr. Chrencik has experience with a wide variety of patient bases and enjoys providing the best care for any patient according to their needs and beyond.
When he is not in the exam room, Dr. Chrencik enjoys watching his Detroit Lions and Tigers, gaming, going to the gym, traveling, fishing/hunting, among many other things. He is also a musician and music enthusiast.
